Ruru West Coast IPA - Wren House Brewing Co - 16 oz can

Having @horusagedales stop by to brew a beer with us here in the Valley is always a treat. While pulling barrel samples of our last collab to create a direction for that release later this year, we decided to mix it up and brew a West Coast IPA with some flavors we've been really digging.

RURU's recipe at it's core is a classic bitter IPA, but dry hopped with our collective favorite NZ varieties. We were blown away by @billygoathopfarm Chinook, using it heavy handed and often in the boil to hit a desired bitterness and bring out its pine/dank characteristics, followed by a little Waimea in the whirlpool to lead into its planned dry hop. The large majority of its dry hop being our crowned favorite Kohia Nelson supplemented with a little more Waimea. Bright lemon zest with underlying tropical fruit flavors, followed by a crisp bitterness throughout. A new go to for us in this warmer weather. 7.4%

What is a Ruru? Continuing the bird themed designs of our collaborations, a Ruru is the Māori word for Morepork, which is the only remaining native owl species found in New Zealand. The more you know!

We do not ship alcohol. All purchased alcohol is available for pick up at High Altitude Home Brew Supply and Bottle Shop located at 2711 E Lakin Dr Unit 1 suite 2.  Pick up hours are from 10:30 AM - 5:45 PM Tuesday - Saturday.
