Moxies Mistake - Wanderlust Brewing - 500 ml Bottle

From the producer:

This beer started as our stout with a pitch of 928 yeast accidentally put in it, the 928 yeast gives an earthiness with some clove flavors and dries out the beer significantly, giving a much crisper and lighter finish than the stout (and a higher abv). The long aging in red wine barrels with some souring bacteria took the roasty edge off the stout and replaced it with a subtle wood flavor and a distinct sourness that counterbalances the earthiness lended by the 928 Yeast. An addition of blackberry puree late in the aging process gives a slight fruitiness to the nose contributing to a complex aroma of chocolate, tart berries and a subtle roastiness

Style: Barrel-Aged, Sour Stout 
ABV: 7.4%
